Opportunities to Serve through Music
WORSHIP CHOIR
The Sanctuary Choir assists in worship each Sunday morning by supporting the congregational singing and presenting choral music from a variety of styles. The choir is open to all ages and meets Wednesday evenings from 7–8PM in the sanctuary.
WORSHIP ORCHESTRA & BAND
The Orchestra/Band is open to youth and adults with band or orchestra experience. This group rehearses on Wednesday 5:30–6PM and accompanies the Choir on Sunday mornings.
WORSHIP TEAM
The Worship Team is made up of youth and adults in the Music Ministry and supports the congregational singing on Sundays. This group meets on Wednesdays 7–8PM with the Choir in the sanctuary.
HANDBELLS
The Sanctuary Handbells Choir is open to youth and adults and will resume rehearsals Fall 2024. In addition to playing during the Christmas and Easter seasons, the Sanctuary Handbells present preludes and accompany congregational singing several times per year.
SINGIN' SAINTS
The Singin’ Saints choir is made up of adults over 50 who enjoy singing traditional hymns & gospel songs. This choir sings on Sunday mornings three or four times per year, is included in our annual Christmas Night of Worship, and goes “on tour” each spring singing at local nursing homes.
STUDENT PRAISE BAND
The Student Praise Band leads worship each Wednesday night at 6PM for Students Midweek and occasionally on Sundays during Worship Services. Rehearsals are 5PM Sundays in B210 and at 5:30PM on Wednesdays. We are always looking to add skilled 6th–12th grade leaders! Auditions are held each August.
CHILDREN'S CHOIRS
Children's Choirs are made up of children Preschool–5th grade. Calvary Kids Music meets on Wednesday evenings at 6PM in the Children's Building, but start out in the gym. Occasionally the Children's Choirs sing during the Sunday Worship Services, Christmas Musicals, and other special events.
MEDIA TEAM
Our media team is open to youth & adult volunteers who have an interest in operating sound, cameras, screens, Pro-Presenter, and livestream. This team oversees the media production for Worship Services and other special services. We are always looking for those with audio/visual tech skills, photography skills, or anyone willing to learn!
SPECIAL EVENTS
Because God has called us to be a singing people, there are special times of worship and celebration we’ve set aside for that purpose. These special times include Good Friday, Easter, Christmas Eve, Calvary's Christmas On Main, and more to come!
